






The opening ceremony of the Hotel-Related Electrical, Solar, and Air Conditioning Installation/Repair and Maintenance Training Course (Batch 9/2025) jointly organized by Sagaing Region Government, in collaboration with the Child Labor Eradication and Employment Opportunities Creation Committee and the Department of Hotels and Tourism, was held at Chindwin Hall in Monywa of Sagaing Region on 18th March. The attendees included the Sagaing Region Chief Minister U Myat Kyaw, members of the Region Government, officials from regional, district, and township departments, the Chair and members of the Myanmar Hoteliers Association (Sagaing Zone), course instructors, and trainees.
The ceremony began with Chief Minister U Myat Kyaw delivering a speech, emphasizing that the training course on hotel-related electrical, solar, and air conditioning installation, repair, and maintenance, launched today, would greatly benefit the hotel and guesthouse businesses in Monywa Township. He noted that it would enhance the tourism industry’s image to a significant extent. He urged the trainees to diligently and enthusiastically study the subjects taught during the course.
Following this, Daw Thida Kyaw, Chairperson of the Myanmar Hoteliers Association (Sagaing Zone), provided an explanation regarding the purpose and significance of conducting the training course.
Next, U Tin Than Win, the Regional Minister for Natural Resources, provided cash assistance of 2.5 million Kyats to the Region Labor Department Director for use in the training program.
Afterward, the Chief Minister and attendees watched a presentation showcasing Sagaing Region’s tourism destinations, accompanied by the song “Zeya Shwe Myay,” encouraging support for these sites. They then took group photos with the trainees and warmly greeted those present at the event.
The Hotel-Related Electrical, Solar, and Air Conditioning Installation/Repair and Maintenance Training Course (Batch 9/2025) will be attended by 32 trainees and will last for two weeks, featuring both theoretical and practical instruction.
