Drug Seizure: Over K3.7 billion worth of stimulant tablets seized

On March 10, over 3.7 billion kyats worth of stimulant tablets were seized in Waw Township, Bago Region.

Acting on a tip-off, a joint team from the Anti Narcotic Task Force intercepted a Dong Feng 22-wheeler trailer, transporting the stimulant tablets from Mongyai to Hpa-an. Driver Wai Phyo Maung @ Ko Phyo and accomplice Marlar Kyaw were arrested.

Further investigations revealed that the illegal drugs were ordered for transport by Yan Jia Shuo @ Kalar. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the narcotics network, according to the Myanmar Police Force.
