Fishery Export :Fish breeding farms in Yangon and Ayeyawady Regions inspected

Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation Dr Aung Gyi made inspection tour in Yangon and Ayeyawady Regions on 15th of March. 

The Deputy Minister inspected the fish farming and fish feed plant, conducted by Han Soe Moe Company Limited in Htantapin Township of Yangon Region where officials presented the fish feed production and distribution. They also reported on fish farming, using the Best Aquaculture Practices-BAP system to achieve export market in Middle-East countries including Saudi Arabia.

The Deputy Minister also visited YarSanAye ရာစံအေး Fish Farming Station in Maubin Township of Ayeyawady Region and observed the fish farming with BAP system. During the inspection tour, the Deputy Minister instructed the entrepreneurs to strictly follow the findings of BAP Pre-Audit Team while adhering to the practice of BAP system and guidelines of Fishery Department.

He also highlighted the need to abide by the rules and regulations, set by the designated export countries so as to ensure the export of safe marine products.
