Venezuela seized 5.4 tons of cocaine in border region with Colombia

Venezuelan authorities seized 5.4 tons of cocaine in a military and police operation in the state of Zulia, bordering Colombia, Interior Minister Diosdado Cabello said. The shipments were carried in 'submersibles'—handmade submarines—and boats along a river that forms a shared basin between Venezuela and Colombia, as well as Lake Maracaibo, which connects to the Caribbean Sea.
