Football Festival: Over 1,000 trainees joined the event in Myitkyina

On 15th March, Kachin State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan attended the opening ceremony of Football Festival, jointly organized by Kachin State Sports and Physical Education Department and State Sports Sub Committees.

Over 1,000 trainees from State Football Development Training participated in the ceremony. Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister highlighted the benefits of playing football which can enhance the physical and mental fitness of the youths as well as their teamwork and cooperation ability.

In Kachin State, summer basic sports training was conducted with 20 sports courses. The Chief Minister also expressed his appreciation for the festival. Then, the ceremony was inaugurated by cutting ceremonial ribbons. After providing sportswear and teaching aids to the trainers and trainees, the Chief Minister and officials enjoyed football skill demonstrations and competitions and presented cash awards.
