Russia and Venezuela to sign cooperation treaty, say Putin and Maduro

Russian President Vladimir Putin told his Venezuelan counterpart Nicolás Maduro that a joint strategic cooperation agreement between the two countries is ready to be signed, and invites him to do so during his planned visit to the Victory Day celebrations in May.

Maduro accepted the invitation, saying the treaty will "raise bilateral relations to a new level".
