15th Anniversary: Celebration held at the Union Election Commission Office

Union Election Commission Office held its 15th anniversary celebration on Sunday.

The celebration saw the attendance of Union Chief Justice U Tha Htay, Chairman of the Constitutional Tribunal U Aung Zaw Thein and Commission Chairman U Ko Ko as well as the retired Chair U Tin Aye, Commission members, invited guests and staff.

In his speech, the Commission Chairman highlighted the efforts for holding the upcoming general election which is the ultimate goal of the nation. This was followed by presenting awards to the recipients of excellence in technology and administration as well as those who dutifully served their assignments despite the incidents of armed insurgencies and those who performed well in the training courses.

In addition, awards were presented to the outstanding students in matriculation exams and the second prize winner of Myanmar Women’s Day Essay Competition. The celebration also included the lucky draw program and performance by the artists of Fine Arts Department under the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture.
