India’s newest Consulate in Belfast

India’s External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, on his second and last day in Ireland, inaugurated India’s newest Consulate in Belfast in Northern Island.

Speaking at the event, he emphasized that the Consulate would cater to the needs of the Indian community while fostering deeper cooperation in trade, technology, business, and education. Dr Jaishankar also met Deputy First Minister of Northern Ireland and Junior Minister in Belfast.

He thanked them for all the support in setting up the Indian Consulate. The leaders discussed possibilities for deepening India’s engagement with Northern Ireland, especially in skills, Cyber, Tech, creative industries and manufacturing.
