




An official welcome ceremony was held for Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, who in on an official state visit to Belarus at the invitation of Belarusian President Mr Alexander Gregoryevich Lukashenko on Friday.
On arrival at the Presidential Palace, the Prime Minister was welcomed by the Belarusian President. Then, the Guard of Honour saluted the Prime Minister while the national anthems of the two countries were played. The Prime Minister later inspected the Guard of Honour, followed by the reciprocal introductions to the attendees.
Later, the Prime Minister took the salute of the Guard of Honour during the march-past.
Afterwards, the Prime Minister and the Belarusian President held a separate meeting. They discussed matters on promoting bilateral cooperation, collaboration in implementing the agreements between the two countries, and further strengthening of strategic relations.
The two leaders also exchanged views on diplomatic relations between the two countries, accelerating cooperation in economy, agriculture, industry, education, science and technology, culture and sports.
The meeting also focused on promoting collaboration in defence sector, while enhancing the existing friendship and trade activities. They also discussed the measures for holding the free and fair multiparty democratic general election in Myanmar.
After the meeting, the Belarusian President hosted a luncheon to the visiting Prime Minister and delegation members. During the lunch, the Orchestra Troupe entertained the guests with melodious songs from both countries.
