

South Korean fighter jets mistakenly dropped eight bombs outside a training range during drills on Thursday.
The South Korean Air Force says KF-16 jets mistakenly released the bombs in Pocheon in the northern province of Gyeonggi shortly after 10:00 a.m. Firefighters said seven people were injured, two of them seriously, in the accident.
Nearby houses, a church, and a cargo vehicle were also damaged. The jets were taking part in live-fire drills with US forces in South Korea and the South Korean Army. The South Korean military is investigating. The Air Force apologized for the damage caused by the accident, and said it hoped the injured would swiftly recover.
