Bar Council Meeting: Bar Council Meeting No. 1/2025 held

The Bar Council Meeting No. 1/2025 was held at the meeting hall of the Ministry of Legal Affairs, Office No.25 in Nay Pyi Taw on March 5.

During the meeting, the following matters were discussed and determined, including the request from the Union Supreme Court regarding whether there are any objections to the application for enrolment as advocates by 499 higher grade pleaders, the request from the Union Supreme Court regarding whether action should be taken or not against  advocates who violate professional conduct, submission of petition to make re-proceeding as advocates, application for the changing location of land for office of Bar Council, the signboard of Sub Bar Council Office (Yangon).

Dr. Thida Oo, the Union Minister of the Ministry of Legal Affairs and Attorney General of the Union as well as the Chairperson of the Bar Council, U Myo Tint, the Supreme Court Judge of the Union Supreme Court and Vice-Chairperson of the Bar Council, Dr. Htein Lin Oo, members of the Bar Council, and the responsible officials, attended the meeting.
