Week-long Swayambhu festival concludes in Kathmandu

The Swayambhu Festival wrapped up after a week of vibrant celebrations in Nepal. The festival, held at the famous Swayambhu Stupa Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage site, celebrated its cultural, historical, and religious importance as a sacred place for Buddhists. The theme of the festival, ‘Pride of Ancestors, Nepali Glory,’ highlighted Nepal’s rich traditions and heritage.

The week featured a variety of activities, including cultural performances, traditional art displays, and food stalls offering indigenous cuisine. Local products, art, and tourism were also promoted throughout the event. Other events included health camps, blood donation drives, and fun activities like face painting, all drawing large crowds.
