18th Investiture Ceremony of the Indian Coast Guard

Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh awarded Coast Guard personnel for their bravery and service at the 18th Investiture Ceremony in New Delhi on Tuesday.  

Total of 32 medals were conferred, including 6 for Distinguished Service, 11 for Gallantry, and 15 for Meritorious Service. The awards honored their dedication in safeguarding India’s coastal and maritime interests. 

Highlighting the 26% budget increase for the Indian Coast Guard this year, Minister Singh announced government approval for the acquisition of 14 Fast Patrol Vessels, six Air Cushion Vessels, 22 Interceptor Boats, and six Next-Generation Offshore Patrol Vessels, further enhancing the force’s operational capabilities.
