




The Ministry of Ethnic Affairs, Union Minister Khon Than Zaw Htoo attended the opening ceremony of the “Handicrafts Training Course No. (1/2025)” organized by the Department of Ethnic Rights Protection under the Ministry of Ethnic Affairs, held at the meeting room of the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw on February 24.
During his opening remarks, the Union Minister encouraged participants to diligently learn the skills being taught in the training, to establish small businesses, and to strive for economic growth that aligns with the country's economic objectives. He emphasized that participants should apply their efforts in their respective fields and work toward reaching the business sector that contributes to the nation's economy. He also stressed the importance of mastering the skills to the level where they can further teach and share them with local ethnic communities in their regions.
Following this, the trainers and trainees introduced themselves to one another, and the Deputy Minister expressed his gratitude. After that, the Union Minister, Deputy Minister, and officials took a group photo with the trainers and trainees and concluded the ceremony.
Then, the Union Minister and Deputy Minister visited the training areas to observe and check the tools and the practical teaching sessions being conducted.
This training course is scheduled to run for 10 days, beginning on February 24, with a total of 20 trainees attending.
