Regional leaders told to prioritize people

Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto on Thursday gave remarks at the inauguration ceremony of regional leaders-elect at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta.

In his remarks, President Prabowo told the 961 regional leaders at the ceremony that they were public servants and should work for the people. In addition, he emphasized that regional leaders should remain united despite their political, ethnic, and religious differences, as embodied in Indonesia’s motto, ‘Unity in Diversity’.

Furthermore, the President described the inauguration ceremony for the 961 regional leaders as a historical moment, as it marked the first time in the country. Prabowo also mentioned that the leaders would join a retreat to be held from Friday until next week at the Military Academy in Magelang, Central Java.
