75th Anniversary: Diamond Jubilee of Myanmar Rice Millers Association

A ceremony to mark the 75th Anniversary Diamond Jubilee of Myanmar Rice Millers Association was held at the Myanmar Convention Center in Mayangon Township, Yangon on Saturday.

After the ceremonial ribbon cutting event, Vice Chairman of the Industrial Development Commission, Union Minister for Industry Dr. Charlie Than unveiled the Diamond Jubilee memorial plaque by pressing the button.

In his speech, the Union Minister said the Industrial Development commission is carrying out the tasks prioritizing to increase domestic production, to ensure local sufficiency, to enable export, to produce high quality value-added products and to develop the Industrial sector with long term sustainability. He pledged that the commission will provide support for the development of Rice Milling and related industries. Also the Chairman of Myanmar Rice Millers Association explained the development and progress of the Rice Milling Industry.

After the ceremony, the Union Ministers and attendees toured around the display of advanced Rice Mills and tractors. In the subsequent ceremony, a seminar was held under the title of “Past, Present and Future Prospects, Challenges and Opportunities of Rice Milling Industry.
