





On 22nd February, Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Aung accompanied by concerned officials made inspection in Yat Sauk Township, Taunggyi District for the regional development.
During the inspection at Inn Khaung Lake, the Chief Minister instructed to present necessary reports on silt recovery process of the lake as per the prioritized sectors. He also stressed on water availability, long-term resilience and cleanliness of the lake.
The average water availability of the Inn Khaung Lake is 800,000 gallons in rainy season and 500,000 gallons in summer. It provides necessary water supply to over 19,000 population of 8 wards within the township.
On arrival at Hway Kyay Village-tract, the Chief Minister and party inspected the soy bean and garlic plantations and stressed on upgrading of irrigation canals and manufacturing roads of the plantations.
He also coordinated with the departmental officials to fulfill the needs of the growers and encouraged to accelerate multiple cropping. At Ya Tha Wadi Hall of Yat Sauk Township, the Chief Minister instructed to present necessary reports on renovation of the hall’s ceiling.
Subsequently, the Chief Minister and party visited Myo Ma Nursery Garden of the Department of Forest, heard reports on further work plantations.
The Chief Minister stressed to expand tree plantations on the hills within Bahtoo and Yat Sauk Townships as well as in forest reserve area, to choose quality tree species, to prevent illegal logging and burning and oversaw the nursing condition of the saplings.
Later, the Chief Minister and party inspected the new bridge construction near Yay Pu Village on Taunggyi-Yat Sauk Road and provided necessary instruction. It’s reported that the road will be paved with asphalt before the rainy season.
