




The Kayah State Government is actively striving to accelerate regional progress development, agriculture, and livestock industries. As part of the efforts, the Mechanized Farming Project is being implemented in Padar Nyae Village in Loikaw Township.
On Friday, Chief Minister U Zaw Myo Tin visited the project area and instructed to ensure systematic reclamation of farmlands in time, to use high-quality seeds and to provide systematic water distribution through the feeder canal. Subsequently, the Chief Minister and party viewed the activities such as excavating the sand pit at the Padar Nyae Village, repairing the embankment, and renovating the irrigation canals in the project area.
The Mechanized Farming Project in Padar Nyae Village of Nwalawo Village-tract in Loikaw Township is being carried out on the 155.45 acre farmlands, engaged by 67 farmers. A total of 159 systematic agricultural plots were reclaimed from the original 582 plots.
Upon completion of the repairing two water storage lake in Nwalawo and Padar Nyae Villages, it can be able to irrigate over 250 acre farmlands, allowing for multiple crop cycles.
