25th Anniversary Celebration : Research Paper Reading Session at Dawei University

Marking the 25th Anniversary of Dawei University, a research paper reading session was held at the convocation hall of the University on 21st February.

The session commenced with the song performances of the students. Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister U Myat Ko stressed the vital role of education in building a union, encouraging to conduct research activities continuously for the capacity enhancement of the faculty members who are crucial in development of nation’s education sector.

He also instructed to emphasize on applied research activities which can contribute to nation’s political, economic and socio-economic sectors. Then, the lecturer from Department of Myanmar read out a research paper on study of homonyms in Dawei dialect.

Then, the Chief Minister presented cash awards for the researchers. Next, the Chief Minister and party enjoyed the traditional dance performances and overviewed the displayed research papers and posters. A total of  5 arts paper, 6 science papers and 11 posters were read out and displayed during the paper reading session.
