Prabowo installs 961 regional heads

Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto on Thursday installed 961 regional elected leaders in the central courtyard of the Presidential Palace in Jakarta. The inauguration ceremony of 961 regional heads was led directly by President Prabowo Subianto.

For the first time in history, the president simultaneously administered their oaths. According to Deputy for Protocol, Press, and Media at the Presidential Secretariat, usually, the president does not inaugurate regional heads directly at the Presidential Palace.

After the inauguration ceremony, 503 regional heads will join a retreat at the Military Academy in Magelang, Central Java. The retreat is scheduled to take place from February 21 to 28, beginning with morning exercises and an assembly, followed by preparatory classes.
