





Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs, Jeng Phang Naw Taung, accompanied by Deputy Ministers U Htein Lin and U Zin Min Htet, along with officials, visited the Wunna Theikdi Stadium in Nay Pyi Taw on Wednesday.
They observed the Pencak Silat coaching and refereeing training course, jointly organized by the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs and the Myanmar Pencak Silat Federation. The course, led by the Indonesian coach, is being attended by 36 trainees, who are receiving both theoretical and practical lessons.
The Union Minister also inspected the training sessions of the Chinlone sports team, which has recently begun its training camp at the Nay Pyi Taw Sports Training Center (Gold Camp). In his opening speech, the Union Minister emphasized the need to collaborate in providing training through internationally qualified coaches and to nurture a new generation of athletes.
Following this, the President of the Wrestling Federation, U Ye Htun, and the Vice President presented updates on the current efforts to develop and promote wrestling. Directors-General and officials supplemented the discussion, after which the Union Minister urged everyone to work together to achieve more medals at the upcoming 33rd SEA Games.
Later, the Union Minister met with the President and members of the Myanmar Sepak Takraw Federation. The President, U Ye Wint Htut Tin, provided an overview of the Sepak Takraw sport, and officials discussed additional requirements. After that, the Union Minister delivered concluding remarks, assuring that necessary support would be provided to address the needs raised during the meetings.
