Crackdown in Myawaddy : Efforts to eradicate online frauds

The government is making exerted efforts to eliminate online frauds, online gambling and unlawful acts which have been on the rise in border areas.

On 19th February, a total of 250 illegal foreign nationals have been detained in Myawaddy-Shwe Kokko and KK Park area and the necessary records and resumes are compiled to extradite them to their respective countries.

From 30th January to 19th February, a total of 1,553 illegal foreign nationals have been detained and tasks are underway to extradite the detained foreign nationals to their respective countries promptly. The government is intensifying efforts to identify and eliminate online gambling, online fraud and online unlawful acts across regions and states which are harming the interest of the nation and people with the collaboration of citizens and international organizations.
