Greeting Tourists: MOHT DM greeted a group of Russian tourists

Deputy Minister for the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism U Phyo Zaw Soe met and greeted a group of 38 Russian tourists who arrived in Myanmar in the morning on February 19 under the arrangement of Radiant Tours Company, at Mingalar Mandalay Hotel in Mandalay.

During the meeting, the Deputy Minister noted that the tourists on this trip would not only explore Myanmar's prominent tourist destinations but also participate in group meditation sessions. He expressed his hope that the visitors would gain unique and peaceful experiences by following the guidance of meditation teachers at prominent pagodas and religious sites across the country.

Despite the geographical distance between Myanmar and Russia, the Deputy Minister emphasized that the strong friendship between the peoples of the two countries would further enhance tourism development. He also encouraged the tourists to share their positive experiences and the warm hospitality of the Myanmar people with their friends and family upon their return home.

In response, the Russian tourists expressed their appreciation for the warm and welcoming hospitality of the local people and shared their positive experiences during their tour in Myanmar. They mentioned that the group consisted of individuals from various regions of Russia, and upon their return, the reputation of Myanmar would quickly spread throughout their country.

Additionally, Deputy Minister highlighted the convenience of using the MIR Card, which is widely used in Russia, for financial transactions in Myanmar.

Following the discussions, commemorative gifts were presented to the Russian tourists, and group photos were taken. It was reported that the Russian tourists would embark on a 10-day tour of Myanmar's prominent destinations, including Mandalay, Pyin Oo Lwin, Bagan, Poppa, Inle Lake, Bago, and Yangon.
