Substitution of Sangha members: Magway Region CM supplicated religious affairs

Magway Region Sangha Nayaka Committee organized a plenary meeting at the Aung Myay Yadanar Monastery in Magway on February 18th with the attendance of Chief Minister U Tint Lwin. The meeting was started after reciting Namo Tassa three times. Prior to the meeting, the Chief Minister said that in accordance with the Basic Regulations of the Sangha Organization, Chapter (11), Articles (86, 87 and 88), the meeting was organized to select and reform the current Sangha Nayaka Committee due to retirement of some Sangha representatives. Then, the Chief Minister supplicated the religious affairs and offered donated items to the members of Sangha.        

Following this, retired and substitution processes of member Sayadaws was carried out by reading out the titles of the retiring Sayadaws and vacant members Sayadaw of the committee, proposing and approving of the titles of Sayadaws. Then, the decision was approved by Presiding Sayadaw of Selecting Supervisory Committee. After delivering closing remarks by the Presiding Sayadaw, the ceremony was concluded by reciting the Buddha Sasanam Ciram Thattu three times.
