Training completion ceremony: MoHT UM attended closing ceremony of HSK-2 Course

The training completion ceremony for the Chinese Language Speaking HSK-2 Course, aimed at developing human resources in the hotel and tourism sector, enhancing staff performance, and improving foreign language proficiency, was held at the Jade Hall of the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism in Nay Pyi Taw on Tuesday.

Union Minister U Kyaw Soe Win attended the event and delivered the opening remarks. During the ceremony, Union Minister U Kyaw Soe Win stated that the HSK-2 Chinese Language Speaking Course was conducted over three months for staff from the ministry’s headquarters and regional offices.

He highlighted that Chinese tourists were among the top visitors to Myanmar in 2024 under the visa program, emphasizing that the Chinese market holds significant potential for Myanmar’s tourism sector. He urged the trainees to apply the language skills and knowledge they acquired to contribute to the development of country’s tourism industry, encouraging them to become exemplary personnel who serve both the ministry and the nation.

Following this, the principal of the Fuqing ဖူးကျင့် International Language School in Mandalay provided an overview of the HSK-2 course implementation and outlined plans for future training programs. Subsequently, the Union Minister, Permanent Secretary, and Director-General presented certificates, awards for outstanding performance, and honorary cash prizes to the Fuqing International Language School and the course participants.
