Meeting with sports federations: MoSYA UM received Chairmen of sports federations

The Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Jeng Phang Naw Taung, Deputy Minister U Htein Lin, and officials met with the President of the Myanmar Thaing Federation U Ye Myint and members, at the Ministry in Naypyitaw on Tuesday.

First, U Ye Myint clarified that the Myanmar Thaing Federation was established in 1966, and the federation has not only focused on Thaing but also worked to promote other sports such as Pencak Silat , Vovinam , Arnis အားနစ်, and Khun bokatar . He also provided an update on the preparations for the upcoming 33rd Southeast Asian Games, in which Pankration will be featured, and emphasized the efforts being made to ensure success in the competition.

Afterward, the Federation's officials presented updates on their respective areas of responsibility. The Deputy Minister and officials further discussed the topic, and the Union Minister concluded by stressing the importance of continued collaboration to ensure success at the 33rd Southeast Asian Games.

He also stated that the Ministry would work together with all involved to support the efforts necessary for success. Later, the Union Minister and officials were briefed by the Chairmen of Myanmar Boxing Federation, U Kyaw Kyaw Soe and U Ko Ko Aung, on the current training conditions and preparations to achieve success in the upcoming Southeast Asian Games.

The Deputy Minister and other officials also contributed to the discussion. In the final remarks, the Union Minister emphasized that in order to achieve the nation's vision and the Ministry's goal of elevating Myanmar's sports, everyone must work together and collaborate toward improving the development of Myanmar's sports sector.
