Legal awareness training: MoC UM delivered an opening speech

The opening ceremony of the Legal Awareness Training Course No. (6/2024-2025) was held, at Meeting Room 1 of the Consumer Affairs Department, Ministry of Commerce in Naypyitaw on February 18.

The Union Minister for Commerce U Tun Ohn attended and delivered a speech. In his speech, the Union Minister emphasized the importance for civil servants in the Ministry to have a broad understanding of basic legal principles.

He highlighted the necessity for them to perform their duties in accordance with the laws, regulations, procedures, and discipline in their respective fields of the work. The Union Minister also stressed that only when civil servants are fully aware of, understand, and follow the law can they carry out their work in a legally sound, efficient, and effective manner.

He encouraged the participants to strive for excellence and commit to learning throughout the training. It was reported that this was the 6th edition of the legal awareness training, which will be conducted from February 18 to 27, with 53 trainees participating. The Ministry has previously organized 5 such training courses.
