






Mon State Chief Minister U Aung Kyaw Thein attended and delivered an opening speech at the ceremony for the commencement of vocational training courses, including Workplace Applied Computer Basics and Bricklaying and Masonry Training, held on the morning of February 18 at the Youth Training School in San Gyi Ward, Mawlamyine. The event was organized by the Committee for the Elimination of Child Labor and Creation of Employment Opportunities in Mon State, with the support from the Mon State Government.
At the ceremony, Patron of the Committee for the Elimination of Child Labor, Mon State Chief Minister U Aung Kyi Thein emphasized that the vocational training courses would provide participants with employment opportunities and enable them to secure suitable and stable jobs. He expressed his hope that the trainees would apply the skills they acquire in practical settings, contributing to the nation's development by becoming skilled and competent workers.
Following this, Director of the Labor Department and Secretary of the Sub-Committee for Creating Employment Opportunities in Mon State Daw Su Su Hlaing, explained the objectives of the training courses. The Chief Minister, along with the Chief Justice of State High Court, members of the Mon State Government, and other officials, took commemorative photos with the trainees. They also warmly greeted the participants and inspected the training materials and resources on display.
It was reported that the Workplace Applied Computer Basics course will train 20 participants, while the Bricklaying and Masonry course will train another 20 participants. Both courses will run for one month, combining theoretical and practical instruction.
