





Rakhine State Chief Minister U Htein Lin attended a seminar and discussion session featured presentations by chief examiners of relevant subjects for the 2025 matriculation examination and focused on improving the pass rates organized by the Rakhine State Government at the U Ottama Hall in Sittwe on 18th February.
During the event, Chief Minister U Htein Lin mentioned that a subject-specific meeting and discussion session had already been held in January with professors (department heads) from Sittwe University and students who will be taking the 2025 matriculation exam. He also noted that a meeting had taken place at the Rakhine State Government Office meeting hall with officials from Sittwe University and the Department of Basic Education to discuss and address the necessary measures to improve pass rates. He assured that ongoing efforts would continue to meet any further requirements. The Chief Minister encouraged the students and professors participating in the current session to actively engage in discussions and seek clarifications on any topics they wished to better understand, aiming to achieve success in their examinations.
Following this, Dr. Khin Maung Zaw, the Rector of Sittwe University, provided an overview of the measures being taken to enhance the pass rates for the matriculation examination. The Chief Minister and officials warmly greeted the teachers and students attending the seminar.
Subsequently, chief examiners from Sittwe University delivered subject-specific presentations, sharing insights and guidance relevant to their respective academic fields.
