Thirty-eight nations, including Russia, the United States, and China, are taking part in Indonesia's international naval exercise Komodo 2025, which began on the island of Bali.

Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono, Indonesia's Coordinating Minister said "We are not only showing the military capabilities of different nationalities, but also, we can show the world that by having this synergy and collaboration, we can focus on bringing good benefits, especially in terms of military operations other than war."

The exercise aims to strengthen bilateral, regional, and multilateral cooperation to address natural disasters and mitigate their impacts. Participants focus on improving military and maritime capabilities, with an emphasis on maritime diplomacy to prevent conflicts in the Indo-Pacific region. The event also seeks to enhance cooperation in humanitarian efforts and assist countries facing challenges.
