The Royal Thai Police’s Cyber Crime Investigation Bureau launched the "Senior’s Community Cyber Police Club" to educate citizens about online scams. Between March 2022 and December 2024, over 800,000 online crime complaints were reported, with daily losses averaging 77 million baht. Seniors were particularly affected, with nearly 14,000 cases in 2024, resulting in 4.4 billion baht in losses.

The new initiative, offering weekly Zoom meetings, aimed to teach seniors how to avoid scams. Early results showed a decrease in senior victims and a rise in club participation. The Bureau also ran a "Cyber Talk" program on Facebook and planned to target younger victims of sextortion.
