Opening ceremony of military training: Shan State CM attended and delivered a speech

Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Aung, along with Commander of East Command Maj-Gen Zaw Min Latt and the Principal of Military Computer and Technology Institute (MCTI) in Hopong Brigadier General Thant Htin Soe, attended the opening ceremony of the People's Military Service Training Course No. 10/2025 at the MCTI parade ground in Hopong Township, Pa-O Self-Administered Zone, Shan State (South), on the morning of February 17.

The ceremony began with the trainees giving their salute to the national flag and the Principal of MCTI. Following this, Brigadier General Thant Htin Soe delivered the opening speech.  

During the second part of the ceremony held at the Bayinnaung Hall, Chief Minister U Aung Aung and Commander Maj-Gen Zaw Min Latt addressed the attendees. The Shan State Government provided cash assistance for the training course, which were handed over by the Chief Minister to the Principal of MCTI. Maj-Gen Zaw Min Latt then presented the cash of honor and sports equipment to a training instructor on behalf of the trainees.

After that, the Chief Minister and officials shared tea and snacks with the trainees and warmly greeted them. A total of 213 trainees are participating in the People's Military Service Training Course No. 10/2024, it’s reported.
