Anniversary Celebration: Awarding the outstanding staff and lucky draw program

A ceremony to award outstanding employees to commemorate the 79th anniversary of Myanma Radio and Television (MRTV) was held in Nay Pyi Taw Tatkone Township on Saturday.

Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn attended the event and delivered a speech, saying that the Ministry of Information is working to implement a new, dynamic, and modern state media for the benefit of the state and the people. In this regard, he acknowledged the efforts made by MRTV through significant reforms.

He urged the staff to make constantly study and learn from the changing modern technologies while striving to produce more good results through many innovations. Next, the Director General of MRTV presented a commemorative medal to the Union Minister.

This was followed by presenting awards to 13 staff who had completed 37 years of service and 21 staff who received the Good Public Service Award as well as the staff from Engineering Division who worked hard to provide the DTH system.

In addition, awards were presented to the first prize winner of the 2024 World Tourism Day Short Film Competition organized by the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism under the title "Fascinating Myanmar", the first prize winner of the Anti-Corruption Day Video Competition and 12 staff who won prizes in the 25th Silver Jubilee Myanmar Traditional Performing Arts Competition as well as the first prize winner of the Union Minister's Cup Sepak Takraw Competition, and the third prize winner of the individual karate competition at the 5th National Sports Festival.

Moreover, awards were presented to the outstanding staff who excelled in Program Production, News Editing, News Presentation, Engineering works and Outstanding Work Performance, as well as the Cleanliness and Beautification Award at the hostels, staff housings, and relay stations. The celebration continued with a lucky draw program and performance by the MRTV staff.
