Development of e-Sports: MOYSA Union Minister meets with e-Sports Federation

Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Jeng Phang Naw Taung received Chairman of Myanmar Electronic Sports Federation Dr Kaung Myat San and party at the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw on Thursday.

During the meeting, they discussed plans to organize more competitions to achieve widespread interest to the emerging sports. The Union Minister also outlined to draft systematic regulations and Technical Hand Book while conducting awareness campaigns for e-sports which is internationally accepted sport item.

He also pledged to provide assistance and urged all to strive for achieving success in the upcoming 33rd SEA Games. Myanmar Electronic Sports Federation was formed in 2017, aiming to develop e-sports in Myanmar along with the emergence of outstanding new generation players who can keep abreast with the world.

With the guidance of the ministry, the federation has sent players to compete in the competitions, and as a result, Myanmar Electronic Sports Federation ranked second place among 144 entities in the world.
