Coordination meeting: MoH UM gave an opening remark

Union Minister for Health Dr. Thet Khaing Win presided over a work coordination meeting, together with the departmental heads of the Nay Pyi Taw, Regions and States Public Health and Medical Services Departments at the Ministry on Tuesday.

Speaking at the event, the Union Minister highlighted the Ministry’s efforts to implement action plans and national policies on time. He stressed the need for coordination with state and region governments to deploy doctors across all hospitals, from urban to rural areas.

He noted the nation’s annual 49 billion kyats expenditure on medicines for HIV, TB and malaria and emphasized the effective use of these medicines. The Union Minister also called for continuous training for health workers and efforts to reduce healthcare costs, monitor private hospitals and ensure compliance with medical ethics and regulations.

Following the speech, the Union Minister reviewed reports on the deployment of medical personnel across respective areas and provided necessary instructions.
