






The fourth traditional Htamane-Making competition for the staff families of the Union Auditor-General's Office was held at the open ground near the Union Auditor-General's Office and the Advanced Accountancy and Auditing Training School in Nay Pyi Taw on Tuesday.
The event was attended by Union Auditor-General Dr. Khin Naing Oo, Deputy Auditor-General, Permanent Secretary, officials, and staff members. In honor of Thanakha culture in Myanmar being inscribed on UNESCO's Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, participants joyfully applied Thanakha and took part in the festivity.
First, the Union Auditor-General addressed the gathering, stating that the competition was organized to preserve and pass on Myanmar's rich cultural traditions and to foster unity and collaboration among staff members. She emphasized that making Htamane symbolizes religious devotion, refinement, unity, harmony, and affection, and reflects the Myanmar people's admirable practices of preparation, coordination, guidance, and control. She encouraged the competing teams to adhere to the rules, participate with enthusiasm, diligence, and energy, and enjoy the competition in a clean, lively, and joyful manner.
Following this, the Union Auditor-General and officials observed the four competing teams representing the Union Auditor-General's Office, the Inspection Department, the Technology Development and Training Department, and the Administrative Department as they enthusiastically prepared Htamane in line with Myanmar's traditional cultural practices.
Later, the Union Auditor-General, Deputy Auditor-General, and officials presented awards, cash prizes, and gifts to the winning teams of the staff families' Htamane competition.
