







In honor of the 78th Anniversary of Union Day, the Ministry of Cooperatives and Rural Development, along with staff families, held the 4th Traditional Htamane Making Competition at the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw in the morning on Tuesday. Union Minister U Hla Moe, Deputy Minister U Myint Soe, Permanent Secretary U Khant Zaw, directors-general, participating teams, and officials attended the event and joyfully participated.
First, the Union Minister observed the competition of Htamane-making or cooking of Myanmar traditional festive delicacy included glutinous rice, sesame seeds, groundnut, coconut and other ingredients among teams from the Union Minister's Office and four departments. He expressed that the competition was organized to foster unity within the ministry, promote the appreciation of seasonal traditional festivals, and encourage inter-departmental collaboration.
Following this, the Union Minister and officials presented awards to the winning teams from the respective departments.
At the 4th Traditional Htamane Making Competition organized by the Ministry of Cooperatives and Rural Development and staff families, the Union Minister's Office team made 5 trays of Htamane delicacy, the Cooperative Department team made 12 trays, the Rural Development Department team made 12 trays, the Small-Scale Industries Department team made 6 trays, and the Rural Road Development Department team made 8 trays, totaling 43 trays of Htamane delicacy in the competition, it’s learnt.
