BIMSTEC Digital Conclave kicks off in Colombo

Colombo welcomed digital economy leaders and policymakers as the BIMSTEC Digital Conclave commenced on Friday, bringing together experts to discuss regional cooperation in digital public infrastructure. The event was inaugurated in the presence of India’s High Commissioner to Sri Lanka, BIMSTEC Secretary General and Sri Lanka’s Deputy Ministers.

The conclave includes panel discussions in which eminent leaders and experts from Digital Economy sectors from the region shared their insights.  BIMSTEC, the Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation, is an international organization that promotes economic cooperation between seven countries in South and Southeast Asia.
