Drug Seizure: Over K7.3 billion worth narcotic drugs seized in Mandalay

Over 7.3 billion kyat worth narcotic drugs were seized in Mandalay Region, according to the report of Myanmar Police Force.

Acting on a tip-off, a combined team of Anti-Narcotics Task Force on February 1st, arrested two suspects in Pyi Gyi Takhun Township, along with a Light Truck, motorcycle and 11 kilos of heroine.

The interrogation led to the arrest of five more suspects with the seizure of stimulant tablets, a Prado vehicle and the opium oil.

According to investigation, these narcotic drugs were transported from Wanhai of Kyaythee Township in Shan State (South), and have been stored at a garage in Pyi Gyi Takhun Township of Mandalay Region.

During the operation, a total of 11 kilos heroine, over 4.6 million stimulant tablets and 25 grams of opium oil were seized along with three vehicles and one motorcycle.
