Development Works: MCRD Union Minister made inspection tour

Efforts are underway for regional development and small-scale production in Shan State (South). On Friday, Union Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development U Hla Moe and officials inspected the progress of upgrading the PaungPine-LatMaungKway village road.

The Union Minister urged the village road committee to complete the work on time and to standard while promoting sustainable road maintenance. He also encouraged farmers to work hard for their village's development.

During a visit to the "Tay Zar Htun" and "Sin Phyu Taw" food factories in AungPan Township, the Union Minister and officials reviewed reports on operations, export sales, profits and capital needs.

He emphasized that products must meet safety standards and efforts should focus on securing the market. They then visited the cotton mill and storage facility of the "Hla" Textile Manufacturing Cooperative Society Ltd in Tatkone Township and inspected the work conditions.

At Tabaung Ground near Uppatasanti Pagoda, the Union Minister and party observed the exhibition and booths of ministry and region/state cooperatives and small-scale industries, at the Union-level MSME product exhibition and competition. The Union Minister later provided additional details on the booth preparations.
