Shan State Day: SAC Chairman sends a message on Shan State Day

Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Thadoe Maha Thray Sithu Thadoe Thiri Thudhamma Min Aung Hlaing sent a message on 78th anniversary Shan State Day which falls on February 7th.

In his message, the Prime Minister wished for well-being of the national brethren residing in Shan State and across Myanmar. He highlighted the peaceful co-existence of Shan tribes based on union spirit and unity since time immemorial, flourishing of culture and customs fo Shan nationals, as well as the efforts for perpectual of souveriengty.

He also stressed the importace of national unity for ensuring peace, stability and perpectuation of souveriengty as well as the driving force for national development. He reiterated the efforts of the State Administration Council for national development, making preparations for holding free and fair multiparty democratic general election. Emphasizing the challenges of armed conflict, the Prime Minister called for tackling the obstacles through political mean and dialogue for achieving socio-economic development of people. He urged all to make cooperative efforts for successful holding of the election based on union spirit and patriotic fervour.
