The Union Minister for Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation, U Khin Maung Yi, visited the Forest Research Station No. 5 (Moe Sway), Uttarathiri Township, Nay Pyi Taw, on Tuesday and met with the third-year students from the University of Forestry and Environmental Science who were participating in practical fieldwork related to forestry and environmental studies.

During the meeting, Union Minister emphasized to the students that their practical fieldwork is a key opportunity to integrate the theoretical knowledge they have learned in university with real-world experience in the forest. He encouraged them to combine their academic learning with practical work to enhance their knowledge and capabilities.

He further stated that students should aim to excel and become outstanding individuals by merging theory with practice. Only by doing so would they become skilled civil service personnel in the ministry’s forestry and environmental conservation projects after graduation. The Minister encouraged them to collaborate as a team and coordinated requirements upon the reports. After that, the Union Minister observed and reviewed the students' fieldwork activities and the teaching and learning processes.
