Ceremony of donation: MOI UM donated satellite receivers and Set Top Boxes

A ceremony of donating 100 MRTV DTH satellite receiver sets and 300 DVB T-2 Set Top Boxes for the Myanmar Veterans and their families was held at the meeting hall of the Ministry of Information in Nay Pyi Taw on Tuesday.

The event was attended by Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn, Permanent Secretary U Win Kyaw Aung, department heads, Vice Chairman (1) of the Myanmar Veterans Association Lt-Gen Ye Aung (Retired), Secretary Ma-J Gen. San Myint (Retired), and responsible officials.

First, Union Minister U Maung Maung Ohn expressed pride in the fact that Tatmadaw members continue to serve the nation both during their active service and after retirement. He noted that veterans are collaborating with the Tatmadaw in various sectors to contribute to country’s stability, for which he expressed gratitude.

He emphasized that it is crucial for Tatmadaw members and their families to critically evaluate and discern between true and false news, as this will enhance the value of their efforts. This is the reason behind the donation to the Veterans Association.

Following this, the Union Minister handed over 100 MRTV DTH satellite receiver sets and 300 DVB T-2 Set Top Boxes, which were received by Vice Chairman (1) of the Myanmar Veterans Association Lt-Gen Ye Aung (Retired), and other responsible officials. Subsequently, Lt-Gen Ye Aung (Retired) stated that this donation would greatly benefit veterans and their families. He expressed appreciation for the recognition given to veterans and their families by the Union Minister and responsible officials, which he found encouraging.
