Meeting on 33rd SEA Games: Preparations for participation in the Games discussed

Myanmar will participate in the 33rd SEA Games, which will be hosted in Thailand from December 9 to 20, 2025.

In preparation for the event and to ensure country’s successful participation and achievement of medals, a coordination meeting was held at the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs, Office No. 31 in Naypyidaw in the afternoon on February 3.

The meeting was attended by Directors-General, U Myo Kyaw Thu, U Tun Myint Oo, U Kyaw Soe Moe, Deputy Directors-General, and various departmental directors, who reported on the current status of their respective departments and their preparedness for Myanmar's participation in the 33rd SEA Games. They provided updates on the plans and efforts made so far, the ongoing processes, and future steps to ensure country’s success in the games and the winning of medals.

Additionally, Deputy Ministers U Htein Lin and U Zin Min Htet clarified and elaborated on the necessary requirements, after which Union Minister Jeng Phang Naw Taung provided further clarifications and added comments. The meeting was then concluded.
