Work Coordination Meeting: Sagaing Region Road Safety Council held its meeting

On 31st January, Sagaing Region Road Safety Council held its work coordination meeting under hybrid system at Region Government Office.

Chief Minister U Myat Kyaw in his capacity as Chairman of the Sagaing Region Road Safety Council stressed on implementing the goal of the National Road Safety Action Plan (NRSAP) 2021-2030. He added that it’s necessary to install sufficient road signs, signals and directions in roads systematically considering the safety of the commuters.

In order to enhance the survivability of crashes, timely provision of appropriate medical care for injured people to prevent their injuries from becoming fatal is critical.  The Chief Minister also instructed to make concerted efforts in raising road safety awareness among public to prevent road accidents.

The attendees presented reports on issuing vehicle licenses, road accidents, actions taken on illegal vehicles, road safety measures, awareness campaigns as well as further work implementations of the respective councils and administrative bodies.
