




Nepal Television (NTV), the first-ever television station of Nepal, has entered its 41st year of establishment. Adapting to changes in policy, technology, trends, and practices, Nepal Television has now transformed into a Public Service Broadcaster. With this transformation, NTV promises to prove itself as more accountable to the state and even more responsible to the public.
With nearly a century-long history of public service broadcasting globally, a new chapter in Nepal’s broadcasting history began after the Federal Parliament passed the Public Service Broadcasting Bill.
This new era of public service broadcasting officially started after President Ram Chandra Poudel certified the bill on 8th October 2024, which came into effect 31 days later.
MITV is a broadcast TV brand intended for international and local English speaking consumers, launched on 31st March 2010 based in Yangon.
