









Union Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Min Naung attended the ceremony of awarding certificate for 9th Intake of Diploma in Agriculture and First Intake of Diploma in Livestock held at the Institute of Agriculture and Livestock (Pyinmana).
During the opening speech of the Union Minister at the first part of the ceremony, he emphasized that the agricultural knowledge acquired during their academic years, both theoretical and practical, should be applied effectively in the workplace.
He urged the future civil servants and individuals involved in private and personal businesses to make continuous efforts for progress and success in their respective fields, with the goal of contributing to the country's food security and the development of the agricultural production sector.
The Chairman of the Nay Pyi Taw Council also delivered a speech to honor the graduates of 9th Intake of Diploma in Agriculture and First Intake of Diploma in Livestock.
Following this, the Union Minister presented awards to the top three winners from the first to third years in the Diploma course in Agriculture and Diploma course in Livestock at the Institutes of Agriculture and Livestock (Pyinmana and Shwebo) and a group photo was taken with the guests and graduates.
In the second part of the ceremony, the Principal presented certificates of Diploma to the graduates of the Agricultural and Livestock.
In the afternoon, the Union Minister and Deputy Ministers attended the 2024-2025 welcoming ceremony for fresher students at the University of Veterinary Science, Yezin in Zeyathiri Township of Nay Pyi Taw, congratulated and encouraged the students and had lunch with them.
Later, they attended the 2024-2025 welcoming ceremony for fresher students at the Yezin Agricultural University, where they offered their congratulations, encouraged the students, and had dinner with them.
At the welcoming ceremonies, the Union Minister urged the graduates to strive to achieve their educational goals. He reassured them that in case they faced any unforeseen difficulties, they could report them to their teachers or responsible officials, and the Ministry would provide the best possible assistance.
He also mentioned that the plans to open more universities in the lower part of Myanmar to meet the growing demand for skilled agricultural professionals.
