






The Government-Private Sector Trade Promotion Council held its meeting 1/2025 on Tuesday at the Ministry of Commerce in Nay Pyi Taw.
The meeting was attended by the member of State Administration Council, Chairman of the Council, Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Transport and Communications, General Mya Tun Oo, who delivered an opening speech.
In his speech, Chairman of Government-Private Sector Trade Promotion Council, emphasized the importance of overseeing the implementation of the National Export Strategy 2020-2025, reviewing reports related to trade promotion, providing policy guidance, and developing strategies to advance the trade sector. He explained that the council was established to provide guidance on trade-related issues and that the meetings, like this one, are an important part of that process.
He also outlined that the council would support the development and promotion of exports and trade, offering necessary guidance for relevant sectors. Following this, Council Vice Chairman Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister U Win Shein discussed the implementation of the National Export Strategy (2020-2025), clarifying points of concern.
The Council Secretary, Union Minister for Commerce U Tun Ohn, then provided an update on the implementation of previous decisions made by the council. The attendees of the meeting then discussed the progress made in promoting exports and the necessary support measures for their respective sectors. Council Chairman Deputy Prime Minister General Mya Tun Oo responded by coordinating and providing further guidance on necessary actions and concluded the meeting with final remarks.
