Central Council of MMC: MoH UM attended the Central Council meeting

The Union Minister for Health, Professor Dr. Thet Khaing Win, along with the relevant officials from the Ministry of Health, attended and delivered an opening speech at the first Central Council meeting and the first Executive Committee meeting of the Myanmar Medical Council for the third four-year term, held on January 28.

In his speech, the Union Minister stated that the Union Government has appointed three Patrons for the Central Council of the Myanmar Medical Council for the third four-year term. He also mentioned that in accordance with the Myanmar Medical Council Law, which was enacted by the Union Parliament in 2015, the Central Council and the Executive Committee members of the Myanmar Medical Council have been systematically selected and appointed to implement their duties effectively. The Union Minister expressed gratitude for the Myanmar Medical Council's efforts in ensuring the systematic and high-quality healthcare services in Myanmar, in line with the established laws and regulations.

Furthermore, the selection and confirmation of the Executive Committee members for the third term of the Myanmar Medical Council were carried and the first meeting of the Executive Committee for the third term was held, with participants engaging in discussions. Then, the Union Minister concluded the meeting with a closing speech.
