Viet Nam and Netherlands deepen strategic partnership

Vietnamese Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính met with his Dutch counterpart Dick Schoof in Davos, Switzerland on Wednesday.

The two leaders reviewed positive developments in the Comprehensive Partnership between Viet Nam and the Netherlands and set new objectives to enhance relations.

At the meeting, Prime Minister Chính proposed elevating political and diplomatic relations and called for concrete actions to implement the two strategic partnership frameworks on climate change adaptation and sustainable agriculture, focusing on the Mekong Delta and coastal regions. In response, Prime Minister Dick Schoof expressed strong agreement with the proposals and affirmed the Netherlands’ interest in exploring investment opportunities in Viet Nam’s semiconductor sector.
